Dental Crowns

Dental crowns, also known as “caps,” cover the whole visible part of a tooth. Placing a crown over a damaged tooth can restore strength, appearance, and function. Dental crowns also can cover misshapen teeth and are usually used to protect a tooth after a root canal treatment. At Bedford Dental, we offer both traditional and porcelain crowns to restore your smile. We will work with you to determine which type of restoration best fits your needs.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are just that, bridges that span a gap where a tooth or teeth are missing between natural teeth. A dental bridge has three parts: two crowns and an artificial tooth or teeth. The two dental crowns are placed on your healthy teeth on each side of your missing tooth or teeth. These supporting teeth are referred to as abutment teeth. False teeth, referred to as pontics, replace missing teeth. Usually, bridges are one piece and are permanently cemented into place with dental crowns on both of the abutment teeth.

At Bedford Dental, we offer gentle dentistry for the whole family. Patients of all ages appreciate our modern, comfortable office, state-of-the-art technology, and kind caring staff.
