How will Invisalign straighten my teeth?
The Invisalign system uses computer-aided design to create custom-fit aligners. You will change aligners approximately every two weeks. Each aligner will move the teeth in small increments of about .25 millimeters to .33 millimeters. Although the aligners are removable (for eating, drinking certain beverages and brushing/flossing), they must be worn a minimum of 20-22 hours a day to be successful in realigning the teeth.
Image Dental uses the Invisalign system to help its patients correct following dental concerns:
- Overly crowded teeth that don’t leave enough room in the jaw for all of the teeth to fit comfortably.
- Widely-spaced teeth due to abnormal growth of the jaw or shifting of the teeth due to missing teeth.
- Overbite/overjet of the upper teeth over the lower teeth.
- Crossbites that cause one or more upper teeth to bite on the inside of the lower teeth.
If you’re a candidate for Invisalign, you can maintain your beautiful smile at the same time you’re straightening your teeth. Image Dental can help you with all of your oral health needs, and if a straighter smile is on your agenda, we have many options for you to consider, including the discreet and easy-to-use Invisalign system.
